We've been working under it since 2017. In that time it's meant a couple of hours of photoreal CG product for Speedo, a main title and four episodes of design for a Blumhouse docuseries on CNN, art direction for an Antoine Fuqua documentary on HBO that didn't survive the final cut (the design language did, in our hearts), and a steady run of brand and campaign work for clients whose names we can't always put on a website. The range is the point. We're as comfortable building an identity program that has to hold for years across a hundred surfaces as we are making the :30 that has to land three Thursdays from now, and we've noticed the good version of each starts the same way: an open brief, a clear intended outcome, an audience, and a budget (plus being cool helps heaps.)
We stay small on purpose. Every project gets a crew assembled for that job specifically, pulled from a bench of designers, illustrators, animators, art directors, editors and writers we've worked with for years, some of them for a decade (a few of them will read this and know exactly which project we mean). What we care about is craftmanship at a high level. We like a highly unusual brief. We like a normal one that turns out to be unusual once you look closely. If you have either, we're easy to find.
